Strengthening Academic Skills of Postgraduate Students in Child Development from Tarsus University
The training programme titled ‘Strengthening the Academic Skills of Postgraduate Education Students in the Field of Child Development’, supported by TUBITAK 2237-A Scientific Training Activities Support Programme and led by Tarsus University, was held online between 28-30 April 2025.
Tarsus University Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Child Development faculty member Dr. Prof. Dr. Emin Demir, a member of the Department of Child Development, Faculty of Health Sciences, Tarsus University, participated in the project, which was carried out under the leadership of Emin Demir, a member of the Department of Child Development, Faculty of Health Sciences, Tarsus University.
During the three-day training programme, the participants met with a wide range of content ranging from academic writing processes to ethical principles, from scientific research methods to project development and writing techniques. Within the scope of the programme, topics such as scientific research and publication ethics, ethical principles to be considered in research with children, literature review strategies, citation and bibliography management were discussed in detail.
In addition, information on article writing stages, application process to indexed journals, national and international academic directories, and practical information on qualitative, quantitative and mixed research methods were shared. Participants were also informed about TÜBİTAK 1002 and 2237-A support programmes, including project writing and project initiation.
