Project Title: Investigation of the Effects of Radiotherapy and Follow-up Holistic Voice Therapy on Voice Quality in Early Stage Laryngeal Cancer Patients
Project Duration: 12 Months
Laryngeal cancer, which has an important place among head and neck cancers, is a type of cancer that is especially common in men and can seriously affect voice quality. Although radiotherapy is a frequently preferred treatment method for early stage laryngeal cancer, voice disorders that occur afterwards can negatively affect the quality of life of patients. In this context, voice therapies stand out as an important rehabilitation tool in the post-radiotherapy period. In this project, the change in voice quality in individuals undergoing radiotherapy will be evaluated by perceptual, acoustic and aerodynamic analyzes, and then the effects of holistic voice therapy will be examined in a multidimensional manner. The data to be obtained will contribute to the development of scientifically based and individualized intervention approaches for voice rehabilitation after radiotherapy.
