MidFest’26 Held Within the Scope of National Midwives Week

MidFest’26 was organized by the Department of Midwifery of Tarsus University Faculty of Health Sciences within the scope of “April 21–28 National Midwives Week.”

The event, held at the Central Campus of our University between April 20–22, 2026, was planned to draw attention to the importance of the midwifery profession and to raise professional awareness.

The opening speeches of the program were delivered by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ali ÖZEN; our Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Prof. Dr. Duygu SÖNMEZ DÜZKAYA; and the Head of the Department of Midwifery, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eylem TOKER. The event was also attended by the Chief Physician of Tarsus State Hospital, Opr. Dr. Emre Sadık DİREK; Director of Health Care Services, Tülin CAN; and midwives working at the hospital.

Within the scope of the event, a theatre performance, final music recital, student exhibition, workshops, orienteering activity, and concert program were held. The program, carried out with the active participation of students, concluded with the presentation of certificates to those who contributed to the event.
